In the 1800s, my great-great-grandmother began a legacy in the asooke trade, mastering the art of weaving tradition into fabric. This heritage was passed down to my
great-grandmother, Leye, a visionary who took asooke beyond Nigeria’s borders, adorning influential figures with the richness of Yoruba culture.
Inspired by this legacy, Rayor is a modern revival of timeless craftsmanship. Every bag is a blend of tradition and innovation, designed to celebrate elegance, resilience, and inclusivity. Rayor reinterprets the artistry of asooke, ensuring that its beauty and significance continue to thrive in today’s world.
