The showcase transformed Johannesburg’s public transport system into a moving runway, making Tlale the first designer to host a fashion show inside the Gautrain.
In Nairobi, 12 West African designers from Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Mali presented collections from 9–13 May 2026 under Creations 4 Purpose, linking retail pop-ups, runway presentations, and industry talks.
Selected designers will gain direct access to international buyers, retailers, and commercial opportunities as the initiative pushes African and diaspora brands deeper.
Beyond the runway, part of the event’s proceeds will support charitable organisations in Washington, alongside schools in Senegal and an orphanage in Tanzania.
